Job summary

Elliott Wood is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer with extensive building drainage experience to join the Development Infrastructure team in London Fitzrovia. You will lead and deliver civil engineering projects, including drainage, roads, earthworks and utilities, with at least two years’ UK experience and the ability to manage projects from concept to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define Civils division growth strategy with Partners.
• Direct, manage and develop the Civil Engineering team and Technician support.
• Responsible for financial and technical delivery of Civil Engineering within Elliott Wood.
• Develop business and deliver growth of the Civils team.
• Maintain controls and quality checks with regular reporting.
• Liaise with Architects, Clients and other professionals while representing the Practice professionally.

The Role:

We are looking for an Associate Civil Engineer who has experience in building drainage to join our growing Development Infrastructure team in our London Fitzrovia office.

You will have 10+ years’ experience delivering building drainage, roads, earthworks and utilities infrastructure projects (with at least 2 years in the UK) and be confident running projects independently from concept through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with Partners to define the Civils’ division growth strategy
• Direct, manage and develop the Civil Engineering team and Technician support beyond a supporting service to structural projects.
• Responsible for overall financial and technical delivery of Civil Engineering within EWP
• Responsible for developing business and delivering growth of the Civils team
• Ensure maintenance of appropriate controls and quality checks, including regular reporting
• Liaise with Architects, Clients and other professionals whilst carrying out duties and at all times represent the Practice in a professional and courteous way
• Responsible for supporting high standards and general education within EWP regarding Civils technical issues, including presenting occasional internal seminars to the Practice on either projects, technical issues or updates
• Underground drainage design for projects ranging from ‘one off’ domestic houses with pumped basement drainage through to large residential and mixed use sites.
• Pre-planning application, drainage strategy and infrastructure advice.
• SUDS techniques and implementation
