Job summary

MorePeople are recruiting for an Associate Director - Rural Surveyor + Valuer to join our established Southern Consultancy team. Based primarily in Bath or Bristol, with some flexibility to be based elsewhere locally, the role covers valuation and consultancy across Bath, Bristol and surrounding counties for rural and residential assets.

You will work with banks, solicitors, accountants and private clients, and have opportunities to develop your technical expertise, build client relationships

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification is required.
• RICS Registered Valuer status is required.
• Strong numeracy, analytical and technical skills.
• Excellent report-writing skills, including Red Book valuations.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Understanding of basic tax law and compulsory purchase procedures.
• Ability to manage deadlines and workload independently.
• Business development skills and local network are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Valuation work for loan security, taxation, accounts, charity, matrimonial and estate-planning purposes.
• Expert witness work, with opportunity to develop in this area.
• Compulsory purchase advice and negotiations.
• Rural and residential consultancy, including landlord and tenant matters.
• Developing new business with banks, solicitors and private clients.
