Job summary

Menter a Busnes invites a Rural Surveyor to join our Bath-based team delivering valuation, consultancy, compulsory purchase and expert witness work across Bath, Bristol and surrounding counties.

You will develop your technical expertise while building client relationships and business development, with flexibility to work from Bristol as needed. MRICS and RICS Registered Valuer status are essential, with 5+ years PQE preferred.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualified and an RICS Registered Valuer.
• Technically strong, analytical and commercially minded.
• Confident producing high-quality reports and Red Book valuations.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable managing their own workload and deadlines.
• Experienced in, or keen to develop, Expert Witness and Compulsory Purchase work.
• Confident building relationships and developing new business.
• Ideally well connected within the local professional and rural market.
• A full UK driving licence holder.

Responsibilities

• Valuations - loan security, taxation, accounts, charity, matrimonial and estate planning.
• Expert Witness - developing your expertise and building your experience in this area.
• Compulsory Purchase - advice, negotiations and associated consultancy.
• Rural & Residential Consultancy - including landlord and tenant matters.
• Business Development - building relationships and winning new instructions from banks, solicitors, accountants, private clients and other professional contacts.
• Managing your own instructions, workload and deadlines while delivering high-quality professional advice.
