Dow Jones Energy seeks an Associate Director - Risk Analysis, Controls & Assurance to design, deploy, and maintain an enterprise-wide risk framework. You will partner with senior leaders to embed risk-by-design into AI, data ingestion, and new product development while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will lead risk assessments across editorial and non-editorial functions, oversee controls testing, and drive proactive guardrails to mitigate emerging risks before they impact the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk management, internal controls, regulatory assurance, or operational risk.
• Exposure to data governance, AI governance, antitrust/competition law, event operations, and product development lifecycles.
• Proven analytical ability to map business processes and identify control gaps.
• Executive presence and strong communication to senior leaders, technical teams, and partners.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset with risk management as strategic enablement.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to architect, operationalize, and maintain a comprehensive risk framework for Dow Jones Energy.
• Lead risk assessments across editorial and non-editorial functions with monitoring, controls testing, and gap analyses.
• Define and monitor control frameworks for AI, ML, and automated data ingestion; embed risk-by-design in NPD pipelines.
• Implement controls to safeguard against antitrust issues, conflicts of interest, and regulatory non-compliance.
• Collaborate with Data Governance and Tech teams on data provenance, IP usage, third-party licensing, and data security.
