Job summary

Dow Jones Energy seeks an Associate Director to design, deploy, and maintain an enterprise-wide risk framework. You will partner with the VP, Global Risk & In-Business Controls to embed guardrails across research, data, AI deployment, and new product development.

You will lead risk assessments, monitor controls, and ensure adherence to antitrust, data security, and regulatory requirements while collaborating with Data Governance and Tech teams to uphold data provenance and licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk management, internal controls, regulatory assurance, or operational risk.
• Exposure to data governance, AI governance, antitrust considerations, event operations, and product development lifecycles.
• Ability to map processes, identify control gaps, and design pragmatic solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain a comprehensive risk framework for Dow Jones Energy.
• Lead risk assessments across editorial and non-editorial functions with monitoring and gap analyses.
• Define controls for AI, ML, and automated data ingestion; embed risk-by-design in the NPD pipeline.
• Implement controls against antitrust issues and regulatory non-compliance.
• Partner with Data Governance and Tech to establish data provenance, IP usage, third-party licensing, and data security.
