Job description

About The Role

Associate Director of Project Management responsible for managing projects, customer relationships, and coordinating activities within the Gleeds Programme and Project Management Team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering objectives.
  • Engaging with customers and maintaining relationships.
  • Ensuring project and programme deliverables meet client requirements.
  • Managing teams to deliver quality services and outputs.
  • Administering contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer’s Agent, or Project Manager.
  • Producing and presenting reports to clients.
  • Mentoring employees to realize their potential.
  • Preparing bids for services.
  • Managing service delivery profitably.
  • Advising Directors on project issues, especially those impacting Gleeds' professional indemnity insurance.
  • Identifying and driving new business opportunities.

About You

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Extensive project and/or programme management experience.
  • Post-qualification experience.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques.
  • Industry knowledge including construction methods and materials.
  • Understanding of construction procurement strategies.
  • Ability to administer construction contracts.
  • Understanding of legislation affecting building contracts.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Methodical approach to work.
  • Problem-solving, negotiation, and financial skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Qualifications:

  • MRICS, MAPM, or MCIOB membership.
