Job summary

Turner & Townsend is recruiting an Associate Director to lead Cost Management within the Energy & Natural Resources sector. You will oversee end-to-end cost management and act as the primary client interface on key commissions.

Ideal candidates bring significant procurement/commercial experience, a track record on major programmes, and familiarity with Nuclear, T&D, Renewables or Conventional Energy contexts.

Qualifications

• MRICS or MCIPS qualification preferred.
• Experience with major programmes and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end service delivery as Commission Manager for large or complex commissions.
• Serve as the day-to-day client interface ensuring objectives are met.
• Apply procurement or commercial management expertise across energy and natural resources programmes.

Turner & Townsend is one of the leading consultancy providers to the Energy & Natural Resources sector, we are looking to recruit an Associate Director level, Senior Cost Manager / Commercial Managerto undertake a lead role.

As an experienced individual you will come with a wealth of experience in cost management ready to apply your existing knowledge in a new and dynamic environment. We are looking for a candidate comfortable in having challenging conversations with a consultative approach that can bring the best out of their team and client.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

• The Associate Director performs the role of the Commission Manager, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often with respect to large or complex commissions.
• To act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value-added cost management service.
  • Proven Procurement or Commercial Management experience
  • Preferably MRICS or MCIPS
  • Experience working with broad range of contract and commercial models
  • Experience of working on Major Programmes and Projects
  • Experience of working in the Energy and Natural Resources sector (Nuclear, T&D, Renewables, Conventional Energy)
