Job summary

Turner & Townsend, a leading global consultancy in energy and natural resources, seeks an Associate Director/Senior Cost Manager to lead end-to-end cost management services for major programmes. You will act as the primary client interface, guiding teams to deliver value and ensure objectives are achieved.

The role requires extensive procurement/commercial management experience, familiarity with various contract models, and a proven track record of leading teams within energy-related projects.

Qualifications

  • Proven procurement or commercial management experience.
  • MRICS or MCIPS preferred.
  • Experience with a broad range of contract and commercial models.
  • Experience on major programmes and projects.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end service delivery as Commission Manager for large/complex commissions.
  • Act as the key day-to-day client interface to ensure objectives are met with value-added cost management.

Job Description

Turner & Townsend is one of the leading consultancy providers to the Energy & Natural Resources sector, we are looking to recruit an Associate Director level, Senior Cost Manager / Commercial Manager to undertake a lead role.

As an experienced individual you will come with a wealth of experience in cost management ready to apply your existing knowledge in a new and dynamic environment. We are looking for a candidate comfortable in having challenging conversations with a consultative approach that can bring the best out of their team and client.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:
  • The Associate Director performs the role of the Commission Manager, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often with respect to large or complex commissions.
  • To act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value-added cost management service.
Qualifications
  • Proven Procurement or Commercial Management experience
  • Preferably MRICS or MCIPS
  • Experience working with broad range of contract and commercial models
  • Experience of working on Major Programmes and Projects
  • Experience of working in the Energy and Natural Resources sector (Nuclear, T&D, Renewables, Conventional Energy)
  • Experience in leading and managing teams
