Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) Leeds Lease Advisory team is a market leading UK-wide group providing advice on rent reviews, lease renewals and regearing for Office, Industrial and Retail sectors. A Director/Associate level is sought to support the Head of the Regions in delivering growth and shaping the Leeds office strategy.

You would join a 37+-strong surveyor team across the UK with opportunities to influence future growth in Yorkshire and the North-East markets, collaborating with agency,

Qualifications

• Experience in rent review, lease regear and lease renewal negotiations.
• Experience of Expert Witness reporting writing is desirable but not essential.
• Commercial acumen providing clients with the best solutions.
• Strong negotiation and quantitative skills, including analysis and interpretation of large data sets.
• Good working knowledge of the Yorkshire and North East markets.
• Enthusiastic, self-driven and collaborative.
• A full driving licence.
• Ability to manage timelines and work under pressure to tight deadlines.

What this job involves :

The JLL Lease Advisory team is a market leading UK wide business of professionals providing advice to all sectors of commercial property including Office, Industrial and Retail a long with special ist sectors such as Life Sciences, Healthcare and Leisure.

A Director /Associate level position is required to join the Leeds Lease Advisory team , supporting the Head of the R egions , in the delivery of the business and development plans t o achieve the Group 's exciting goals . You would be joining a market leading team of 3 7 + Surveyors based across JLL's UK office network having the opportunity to be part of influencing the team's future growth strategy in the Yorkshire and North-East Markets.

T h e individual will also move to play an integral role i n the senior team of the Leeds office focus ed on strengthening the firm's local client bas e and targeting new opportunities working in conjunction with agency, investment and the other professional teams .

The primary aspect of the role will involve providing advice to JLL's investor and occupiers clients in connection to rent reviews, lease renewals, lease regearing and surrender assignment s within the Yorkshire and North Easts markets . The individual will also be able to provide general lease and rental advice to clients and colleagues across the f i rm.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Work alongside other Directors to manage the client base to deliver the financial goals for the Yorkshire and North East team
• U ndertake lease advisory assignments commensurate with the role
• Target business development opportunities working with colleague s with in the Group and other departments of the Leeds office and wider firm
• Provide accurate management information to the Head of the Region and S enior Leadership Team o f the Lease Advisory Group
• Delivering year on year in c ome and growth
• Manage fee negotiations, billings, all team projects and debt recovery

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

• Commercial acumen provid ing clients with the best solutions hav ing the ability to identify opportunities beyond the immediate client brief
• Ability to manage timelines and work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Engage, support and deal with multiple instructions
• Ability to manage clients and colleagues at all levels
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong negotiation and quantitative skills, including analysis and interpretation of large data sets

Required Skills and Experience:

• Good working knowledge of the Yorkshire and North East market s and client base would be preferable but not essential
• E xperience of rent review , lease regear and lease renewal negotiations
• Experience of Expert Witness reporting writing is desirable but not essential
• Enthusiastic, self-driven and collaborative
