Job summary

WSP UK is seeking an Associate or Associate Director Landscape Architect & Landscape Planners to join our Birmingham, Shrewsbury or Nottingham team. The role covers landscape architecture, urban design and visual impact assessments across public and private sectors in the UK&I.

You will lead projects through LI/RIBA stages, engage clients, and drive bids, working in a collaborative, flexible hybrid environment across offices in the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in Landscape Architecture or recognised equivalent.
• Postgraduate Diploma / Masters qualification in Landscape Architecture or recognised equivalent.
• Established track record authoring Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals and Assessments.
• Established track record delivering landscape and urban design projects from analysis through to construction.
• Excellent technical skills and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Fluent spoken English with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, author and co-ordinate Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments.
• Lead on design projects including urban realm and mixed-use developments in BIM level 2 environments.
• Support development of relationships with existing and new clients in public and private sectors.
• Prepare bids for small to complex multi-disciplinary projects.
• Lead, manage and delegate project work to junior team members.
• Engage with clients through design advice, workshops and stakeholder events.
• Participate in multidisciplinary groups to promote innovation and thought leadership.
