Associate Director, Employee Compliance

Job Summary

Join a dedicated team responsible for RBC's core conflicts management activities within the Group Compliance function. This role offers exposure to various departments such as HR, Law, Finance, and client-facing teams across Capital Markets, Wealth Management, and Investor Services.

Responsibilities
  1. Supervise daily activities and serve as an escalation point for the Employee Compliance team in Europe.
  2. Act as a primary contact for senior management to handle inquiries and escalations.
  3. Deputise for the Head of Employee Compliance and participate in governance forums.
Requirements

Must-have:

  • Experience with compliance systems/tools for employee conflicts management.
  • Knowledge of FCA conflict management rules (e.g., COBS, SYSC).
  • Understanding of financial services or legal sectors, with experience in regulatory change.
  • Project management skills, especially in regulatory projects.
  • Ability to make judgments in complex, non-routine scenarios.
  • Comfort in fast-paced environments dealing with complex issues.
