Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an Associate Director for our London office to provide technical leadership across design teams, delivering quality on time and within budget. You will lead drainage design, S104 submissions, and liaise with LLFA/EA/WA to secure major projects.

Seeking Chartered Engineer status (ICE or CIWEM) with a proven track record in client relations, strategic direction, and mentoring junior staff. This role demands strong communication and collaborative leadership.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with ICE or CIWEM is required.
• Proven track record in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong experience in delivering S104 applications and drainage design support for S106/S278.
• Knowledge of NPPF, SuDS Manual, and Design & Construction Guidance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and nurture relationships with key clients and ensure needs are met.
• Manage and execute projects within agreed timeframes and budgets.
• Oversee a team producing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy Reports.
• Lead drainage design from concept through construction.
• Lead S104 submissions and provide support for S106/S278 designs.
• Engage with LLFA, Environment Agency, Water Authorities and other stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and promote professional growth.
• Drive development of infrastructure projects and coordinate with Development teams.
