Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director / Senior Cost Manager / Commercial Manager to lead a prestigious infrastructure project. The ideal candidate will have extensive cost management experience, excellent communication skills, and a consultative approach to client interactions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Commission Manager, overseeing service delivery for complex projects.
• Act as the primary client interface, ensuring objectives are met through value-added cost management services.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare procurement reports.
• Apply Value Management techniques and manage estimating, cost planning, procurement, and post-contract cost control.
• Lead negotiations, value engineering, life cycle costing, and final account agreements.
• Interface with clients and consultants at all project stages.
• Lead and develop the cost management team, and pursue new business opportunities.
• Improve procedures, templates, and client service quality.
• Manage staff recruitment, resource planning, and staff appraisals.

Qualifications:

• Experience with major rail projects and infrastructure sectors (rail, air, power, highways).
• MRICS qualification preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC3 contracts, especially Option C – Target Cost.
• Experience in leading teams and managing major programs.
