Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Management Associate Director to lead and deliver PM commissions for high profile clients in Central London. You will oversee end-to-end service delivery, ensuring projects meet time, cost and quality objectives, while maintaining governance and strong client relationships.

Successful candidates will have experience at Associate Director level and ideally hold professional body membership.

Qualifications

  • Ideally academically qualified in construction, project management, engineering, surveying or architecture.
  • Experience at Associate Director level is preferred.
  • Ideally a member of a professional body such as RICS, APM or CIOB.
  • Experience delivering CAT B office projects is desirable.
  • Delivered and led teams on schemes exceeding 60,000 sqft.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management commissions for high profile clients across private and public sectors.
  • Establish overall success criteria: time, cost, quality and performance parameters.
  • Ensure compliance for quality, safety, health and environment.
  • Provide project governance, planning, procurement, reporting and cross-functional leadership.
  • Manage project finances, procurement and contract administration processes.
  • Interface with clients and other consultants at all stages and lead bids and business development.

Job Description

We are looking for a project management Associate Director who has experience in the Corporate Occupier sector to join our dynamic team in our office in Central London. You will be responsible for leading and delivering Project Management commissions for high profile clients across the private and public sectors, with project values ranging from £20m to £200m. You will also be responsible for ensuring that client objectives are met, and that projects are delivered to time, cost, and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Being part of Turner & Townsend’s occupier fit out team
  • Leading project management commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery
  • Providing support on major project management commissions, taking responsibility for service delivery
  • Establishing the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters
  • Leading on compliance for quality, safety, health and environment issues on project commissions
  • Leading on establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project
  • Leading on project planning, including producing the detailed project plan
  • Leading on advising upon the procurement of resources
  • Leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project team
  • Leading on the monitoring and applying performance management techniques
  • Leading and advising upon project finances
  • Leading and advising on contract administration processes, claims resolution and disputes
  • Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications
  • Preparing formal project progress and other reports
  • Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
  • Leading on bids, responsible for business development and managing a small team
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Ideally academically qualified in one of the following fields: construction, project management, engineering, surveying or architecture
  • Experience at Associate Director level
  • Ideally a member of a professional body i.e. RICS, APM, CIOB
  • Ideally you will have worked with leading consultancies
  • Experience of delivering CAT B office projects
  • Delivered and lead teams on schemes in excess of 60,000 sqft
