Job summary

Madison Berkeley in Birmingham is seeking an Associate Director – Commercial Property Management to lead a portfolio of prime commercial assets. You will work hybrid, three days in the Birmingham office and two from home, building trusted relationships with major clients.

You will manage client relations, drive service standards, and contribute to business development within an established property management team. This role offers a clear path to leadership and growth within the firm.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial property management experience.
• Experience managing office assets and working directly with clients.
• Strong landlord and tenant knowledge.
• Confident managing lease events, rent reviews, expiries and occupier applications.
• Understanding of office market trends and evolving workspace requirements.
• Knowledge of property management accounts, service charges, statements of account and arrears recovery.

Associate Director – Commercial Property Management

Location: Birmingham

Working pattern: Hybrid – 3 Days in office

The opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Surveyor to join a leading commercial property management team in Birmingham as an Associate Director.

Working alongside a Senior Director and Director, you will manage a portfolio of commercial properties for major clients, including UK institutions, property companies and overseas investors.

You will take immediate ownership of your own clients and buildings while supporting the wider team, contributing to business development and helping grow the department’s fee income.

You will work closely with an established support network of facilities managers, building managers, client accountants and helpdesk professionals, as well as colleagues across lease advisory, agency, building consultancy and investment.

About you

To be considered, you must:

• Have proven commercial property management experience
• Have experience managing office assets and working directly with clients
• Possess strong landlord and tenant knowledge
• Be confident managing lease events, rent reviews, expiries and occupier applications
• Understand office market trends and changing workspace requirements
• Have a sound knowledge of property management accounts, including service charges, statements of account and arrears recovery
• Have experience managing or supporting junior colleagues
• Be commercially minded, organised and confident building long-term client relationships
