Jacobs in the UK is seeking an Associate Director – Civils to lead frontend engineering design (FEED) and civil/structural design for HV substations and HVDC converter stations. You will define civil layouts, supervise multidisciplinary teams, and drive quality and delivery standards across projects for UK T&D clients.
The role requires Chartered Engineer status, a Civil Engineering degree, and a track record of leading complex projects.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution.
- Experience delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects for UK T&D.
- Fluency with BIM/CDE processes and design tools.
Responsabilités
- Lead civil/structural design packages from concept through detailed design and construction support.
- Define civil layouts for substations with platforms, foundations, drainage, access roads and fencing.
- Drive technical reviews and approvals for foundation design and structural framing.
- Chair design reviews and ensure compliance with client procedures.
- Plan resources, programmes and budgets; manage backoffice engineers and subconsultants.
