Job description

LIVERPOOL

Associate Director - Civil & Structural Engineering: Genuine autonomy and influence at this highly collaborative and supportive Medium-sized Multidisciplinary Consultancy. The role is based in Liverpool.
Overview

Our client is a reputable and growing multidisciplinary consultancy providing civil and structural engineering, surveying, and project management throughout the UK.

They are seeking an Associate Director to lead and grow a team delivering civil and structural engineering services across a mix of new-build, refurbishment, remedial and existing building projects.

The role combines technical leadership, project delivery, client relationship management and business development. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining technical quality, developing key client accounts, securing new work and supporting the continued growth of the business.

This is a great opportunity to join a highly collaborative and supportive firm with a genuinely flat structure, no internal competition, and no individual KPIs or billing targets — the focus is on delivering good technical work as a team, not chasing numbers. There are no fixed team sizes or direct reports, with engineers working across varied, technically challenging work alongside a changing mix of colleagues and sometimes partner consultancies.

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key clients and professional contacts.
  • Identify and secure opportunities for repeat business and new commissions.

  • Represent the business in client meetings, networking events and industry forums.
