Job summary

Cynergy Bank in Manchester is seeking an Associate Director to manage a portfolio of business customers with lending up to £10m, focusing on day-to-day relationship management. You will also support Relationship Directors on larger transactions and gain exposure to progress within the team.

The role offers hybrid working: 3 days in London office and 2 days from home. Required are experience in commercial banking, strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, and an excellent understanding

Qualifications

• 3+ years in commercial banking or a similar financial services role.
• Experience in trading businesses is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Solid understanding of risk, governance, AML and KYC frameworks.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and driving results.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage and develop a portfolio of business customers with lending up to £10m.
• Support Relationship Directors on larger, more complex transactions.
• Prepare and submit high-quality loan applications for smaller deals.
• Identify opportunities to promote and cross-sell banking products.
• Ensure full compliance with AML, KYC, and regulatory requirements.
• Champion a high-quality customer experience and continuous process improvement.
