Job summary

TSA Surveying Ltd seeks an Associate Director - Building Surveying to lead and grow the Bristol team, delivering a mix of professional and project-based work for a diverse client base. The role combines technical delivery with team development, client management and strategic business growth.

You will shape the service offering, work with senior leadership, and take responsibility for bid activity, WIP and invoicing while mentoring others to build a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification is required.
• Strong Building Surveying experience in professional services and project work.
• Experience managing client relationships and developing new business.
• Commercially aware with understanding of financial and operational performance.
• Experience leading, mentoring or developing Building Surveyors.
• Confident in preparing bids and tenders.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ambitious, proactive and keen to grow the team.
• Strong technical understanding as a senior client contact.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Building Surveying team in Bristol, delivering high-quality service across a diverse client base.
• Drive business planning and growth of the Building Surveying service.
• Develop new business opportunities across the region and manage client relationships.
• Lead bids and tenders; oversee professional and project-based work.
• Mentor junior and senior staff; foster a high-performing environment.
• Oversee WIP, invoicing, debtor control and cost management.
• Represent the team at client meetings and industry events.
• Contribute to strategic development of the business.
