Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate Director for its Structures Scotland team based in Glasgow. You will manage project delivery, provide technical leadership, and guide schemes from inception through handover to clients.

The role requires Chartered status (MIStructE/MICE), experience in major multi-disciplinary projects, and a solid track record in design delivery and team leadership in the UK. You will collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to drive sustainable, innovative

Qualifications

A proven track record of successful design delivery on major projects and early-stage design inception.
Project management and technical delivery leadership on medium to large schemes.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and communicate with stakeholders and clients.
Experience with commercial and technical project management using appropriate business tools.
Experience of team management including line management and day-to-day operations.
Experience as lead Client contact for consultancy services and maintaining client relationships.
Degree or HNC/HND in a relevant discipline and Chartered status.
Working knowledge of national codes and design calculations.
Experience with Revit, Rhino and Grasshopper is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Own and lead the design process from concept through to delivery.
Provide technical leadership and coordinate with Architects, Engineers, and consultants.
Mentor junior team members toward Chartership and professional development.
Lead tender bids and business development opportunities as they arise.
Agree fees and manage the commercial position of projects.
