This is a fantastic opportunity to join WSP as part of an expanding team delivering a variety of prestigious projects. The role will be based in our centrally located Wellington Place office, which offers a flexible, dynamic workspace focused on staff wellbeing, with natural light and open spaces.

You will be joining our Building Structures team as an Associate Director, responsible for project management, technical leadership, and delivery from inception to handover.

In This Role You’ll Have The Opportunity To

1. Develop innovative and sustainable designs for challenging projects, including transportation hubs, tall towers, healthcare, defense, and education schemes, collaborating with architects.
2. Lead multidisciplinary design projects from concept to detailed design, coordinating with architects, engineers, and consultants.
3. Contribute to the growth of our project pipeline and success.

Your Team

You’ll join a diverse team working to:

1. Lead large multi-disciplinary projects and provide bespoke structural solutions.
2. Build strong relationships with other disciplines, external consultants, stakeholders, and clients.
3. Offer sustainable development solutions from site selection through detailed design and construction.
4. Advise clients on sustainable design, net zero carbon, MMC & DfMA.

Reporting to a senior team member, you will work on high-profile projects across various sectors, including transportation, high-rise, commercial, retail, education, healthcare, and defense.

Our client base spans private and public sectors at regional and national levels.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven track record in successful design delivery, especially in major projects and early project stages.
• Experience in project management and technical leadership for medium to large schemes.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Chartered status (MIStructE/MICE).
• Experience in project commercial and technical management.
• Team management experience, including line management.
• Experience as a lead client contact for consultancy services and maintaining client relationships.
