Job summary

AECOM, Adelaide-based, seeks an Associate Director – Architecture (NSQEP) to provide architectural leadership on complex defence, research and nuclear infrastructure projects. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, shape design strategy and ensure outputs align with safety and regulatory standards.

Ideally you have 10–15 years in architecture, with nuclear or defence sector exposure; Australian Citizenship (or NSQEP clearance) is required, and relocation is considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Accredited degree in Architecture; NSQEP experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership on complex defence, nuclear, or safety-critical projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and delivery on defence, research and nuclear infra projects.
• Provide design leadership across multidisciplinary teams; ensure high-quality, coordinated outcomes.
• Oversee outputs to meet nuclear safety requirements and regulatory standards.
• Advise clients and project partners through all delivery phases.
