About You

We seek a personable, self-starting professional with a positive attitude, excellent collaboration skills, and the ability to work under pressure, manage workload, and meet deadlines while maintaining technical excellence.

Primary Objective

As an Associate Director, you will manage the Structures group, oversee project delivery, resource management, staff performance, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor project resource expenditure and workload forecasting.
  2. Lead engineering design from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
  3. Maintain technical compliance and quality in design projects.
  4. Manage client relationships and develop new business opportunities.
  5. Motivate and develop team members, set objectives, and monitor performance.
  6. Control project progress, budgets, and variations.
  7. Implement management, QA, and health and safety systems.
  8. Ensure compliance with ISO standards and CDM regulations.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • BEng, MSc, or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer or pursuing chartered status with ICE, IStructE, or similar.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in design consultancy.
  • Experience managing staff or third-party contractors is desirable.
  • Proficiency in computer modelling, CAD, and project management software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Competency in MS Office and design analysis software.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable with client presentations.
