As an Associate Director / Director, Launch Operations for Full-Service Commercial, you will help our clients prepare for and execute product launches—one of the most exhilarating and critical phases in a product’s lifecycle. Your responsibilities include developing, managing, and executing comprehensive launch readiness plans across therapeutic areas and geographies. This involves strategic planning, cross-functional coordination, risk mitigation, and client communication to ensure successful, on-time, high-impact launches.

This role requires pharmaceutical industry knowledge, strong project management skills, and developing leadership capabilities. You will collaborate with a Full-Service Commercial Core Team of experts and PMO staff to guide clients through launch planning, risk mitigation, and strategic insights for go-to-market success.

The ideal candidate has a solid background in product launch with a proven track record of leading successful launch plans for innovative products. Critical and strategic thinking, along with cross-departmental collaboration skills, are essential to ensure the successful launch and commercialization of biopharmaceutical products.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Partner with functional experts to define the roadmap to commercialization and implement it into project management software.
  2. Develop risk identification and mitigation protocols and actively monitor them.
  3. Create a framework for Go/No-Go decision-making across multiple launch scenarios.
  4. Track activities across large matrix teams including Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Insights & Analytics, Market Access, Marketing, and Sales.
  5. Develop and monitor commercial launch KPIs and brand performance metrics across sales, marketing, and market access.
  6. Ensure strategic alignment and launch readiness through collaboration with the Core Team.
  7. Demonstrate proficiency in data analytics to synthesize complex data sets into actionable insights supporting launch strategies.
  8. Support evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies that enhance launch readiness and tracking.
  9. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate technical capabilities into business value, bridging data science and strategic execution.
  10. Create clear, concise PowerPoint presentations and reports for clients and internal leadership.
  11. Mentor junior staff in leadership, client management, project management, and specific tasks.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS in life sciences or business; MS or MBA preferred.
  • Extensive experience in biopharmaceutical or related industries in marketing, product launches, strategy, or commercial operations.
  • Proven ability to operationalize and define launch strategies.
  • Strong cross-functional project management and data synthesis skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools like SmartSheets, Project, or Monday.
  • Ability to adapt to change and manage ambiguity.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
