Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Associate Director of Structural Engineering to join its senior leadership team near Borough Green, Kent. The role combines technical excellence with leadership, client development and strategic growth for a growing consultancy.

You will own significant projects, provide senior technical input, and act as a key contact for clients and project teams. Hybrid/flexible working is available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status, or a strong track record at senior/associate level.
• Significant consultancy experience within the building structures sector.
• Excellent technical knowledge across steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
• Strong understanding of Eurocodes and relevant British Standards.
• Experience managing projects, clients and junior team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commercial mindset and an interest in business development.
• The ambition to take a genuine leadership role within a growing consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Leading structural engineering projects from concept through to completion.
