The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to join this close-knit team as an Associate Director. This role is ideal for an experienced Audit Manager looking to take the next significant step in their career. As an Associate Director, you will work closely with the partner group, contributing to the strategic direction of audit services and positioning yourself for potential progression to partner and ultimately an equity stake within the business in the coming years.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Planning and Execution

  • Audit Planning: Develop and oversee the planning of audit engagements, including risk assessments and designing audit approaches.
  • Supervision: Supervise audit teams, providing guidance, support, and oversight to ensure audits are conducted efficiently and effectively.
  • Review Work: Review audit work papers, financial statements, and reports to ensure accuracy, compliance with relevant standards, and overall quality.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
  • Compliance: Ensure audits comply with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain high standards of audit practice.
Staff Management and Development
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop audit staff, fostering a collaborative and professional team environment.
  • Training: Identify training needs and provide ongoing professional development opportunities for audit staff.
Business Development
  • Proposals and Bids: Assist in preparing and presenting audit proposals and bids to potential new clients.
  • Networking: Participate in networking events and activities to build the firm's reputation and client base.
Technical Expertise
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical advice and expertise to clients and colleagues on complex audit and financial reporting issues.
  • Staying Updated: Keep abreast of changes in auditing standards, financial reporting regulations, and industry developments.
