Job summary

QinetiQ in Portsmouth is inviting applications for an Associate Communications Integration Engineer. You will design, integrate, test and develop communications technologies supporting defence and maritime capabilities.

Day-to-day, you’ll work across radio, network and communications systems, in lab environments, configuring equipment, running trials, troubleshooting and delivering innovative solutions with customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Communications, Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering or related discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with technical systems in industry, military, education or personal projects.
• Ability to analyse problems and develop practical solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Demonstrated curiosity, enthusiasm and willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the integration and testing of communications systems and equipment
• Conducting laboratory-based testing, trials and technical investigations
• Producing technical documentation and reports to support engineering activities
• Collaborating with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver project objectives
• Supporting multiple projects while managing your own workload and development
