Job summary

The University of Wolverhampton seeks an Associate Dean to lead a Joint Educational Institute with Shanxi Medical University, shaping a new strategic asset under our 2035 ambitions. Based in Wolverhampton or Walsall, the role requires regular travel to China and responsibility for dual award programmes and pastoral care.

Qualifications

• Strong background in academic leadership.
• Proven experience delivering transnational education with international partners.
• Understanding of HE contexts and MoE requirements.
• Ability to lead joint educational and research initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations across dual award programmes with Shanxi Medical University.
• Provide strategic direction for the Joint Educational Institute.
• Lead four joint programmes, fulfil link tutor role, and ensure student pastoral care.
• Contribute to teaching activities and growth of the partnership.
