Job summary

GBS, in partnership with University of Suffolk, seeks an Associate Dean to lead the BA (Hons) Global Business (Business Management) with Foundation Year, delivered through the UoS partnership. The role reports to the Dean and drives quality, standards and academic performance across the faculty.

Please note this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The Associate Dean will oversee curriculum leadership, staff development and programme enhancement across multi-campus locations.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with significant standing within the field.
• Significant experience of teaching and academic management in higher education.
• Credibility as a subject expert with staff, students and external stakeholders.
• Track record of improving programme performance and student outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum development and subject leadership for the BA (Hons) Global Business with Foundation Year.
• Oversee learning resources and teaching effectiveness to ensure quality and consistent student outcomes.
• Monitor student engagement and performance and implement interventions as needed.
• Direct assessment strategy and maintain high-quality assessment practices across locations.
• Review programme performance, progression, attainment and graduate outcomes with reporting to the Dean.
• Ensure academic quality, standards and compliance with awarding partners and regulators.
• Lead academic staff performance and resource deployment to maintain programme quality.
