Job summary

BIMM University is seeking an Associate Dean of Digital Education to lead the strategic direction of digital learning, teaching and assessment. You will work from the Provost's Office to embed cutting-edge educational technology, AI, and inclusive learning practices across BIMM’s curricula.

You’ll transform institutional strategy into practical improvements, lead a capable Digital Learning Team, and collaborate with academic and professional services to deliver high-quality student experiences.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading digital education within Higher Education.
• Experience translating institutional strategy into practical improvements for staff and students.
• Proven leadership and management experience across complex organisations.
• Strong understanding of digital pedagogy, curriculum design and learning technologies.
• Knowledge of AI in Higher Education and its applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for digital learning, teaching and assessment across BIMM University.
• Lead the Digital Education Strategy implementation and shape future educational technology developments including AI.
• Embed digital approaches in curriculum design, assessment and programme delivery with academic leaders.
• Enhance student engagement, progression and attainment through evidence-informed enhancements.
• Lead the Digital Learning Team and foster a collaborative, high-performance environment.
• Develop and review frameworks, policies and guidance on digital education, accessibility and AI use.
• Support colleagues to build confidence in digital pedagogy and learning design.
• Oversee learning technologies, digital environments and AI-enabled tools for future investment.
• Use data and learning analytics to evaluate impact and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Contribute to strategic projects and represent BIMM externally in sector discussions.
