Job summary

CFC is seeking an Associate Data Scientist to join the Data & AI team in London, UK. This permanent full-time role focuses on building production AI systems, running experiments, and delivering measurable improvements to underwriting decisions.

You will work alongside senior data scientists, ML engineers, and software engineers, contributing to live services and learning from experienced teammates in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python for data science and ML workflows.
• Solid understanding of ML model lifecycle: data prep, training, evaluation, deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and run experiments that shape production AI agents and replicable improvements.
• Explore cutting-edge AI/ML developments and prototype production-ready ideas.
• Evaluate and refine LLM-powered workflows with robust evaluation frameworks.
• Analyze real-world datasets to improve underwriting decisions and system performance.
• Prototype features for AI/ML pipelines from exploration to production impact.
• Study agentic systems in production to identify robustness and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with ML/AI engineers to ship end-to-end enhancements.
• Document experiments and findings for technical and business audiences.
