Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a Chartered Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management and contract administration on high-profile projects from inception to completion. The role blends project delivery, commercial leadership and client relationship growth within a growing consultancy.

Based in Cardiff with hybrid working, you will mentor juniors, manage budgets, and contribute to business development while delivering complex schemes across both public and private sectors.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification or equivalent.
• Proven consultancy-based cost management / quantity surveying experience.
• Strong Employer's Agent and contract administration background.
• Sound knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience delivering complex projects and managing multiple priorities.
• Commercially minded with a track record of developing client relationships.
• Proactive, with ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management and contract administration across a varied project portfolio from inception to completion.
• Manage high-value construction projects through all stages.
• Provide Cost Management, Employer's Agent and Contract Administration services.
• Administer NEC and JCT contracts.
• Manage budgets, cost reporting and change control.
• Produce clear commercial reports and client updates.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
