Job summary

Linesight is seeking an Associate, Cost Management in London to lead client relationships, develop cost plans, and oversee project spend across major developments. You will mentor teams, participate in tender and bid processes from inception to reporting, create estimates and cost reports, and clearly communicate variances to clients and your team, ensuring value and timely decisions.

This is a role that blends leadership with technical cost management expertise in a dynamic, culturally diverse

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification or equivalent required.
• Experience in cost management on large-scale construction projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Chartered or on path to chartered status.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key account manager in the cost management team, developing client relationships based upon partnership and trust.
• Use business development skills to engage new clients and secure repeat projects with existing clients.
• Mentor and lead your employees to achieve top performance and growth.
• Lead your team to deliver impeccable quality and client value.
• Participate in tender/bid processes from initial documentation through analysis and reporting.
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
• Oversee project spend by preparing valuations and cost reports and communicating variations clearly.
• Support rapid project management and clear decisions through robust cost documentation and timely communication.

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Act as a key account manager in the cost management team, developing client relationships based upon partnership and trust
• Use your business development skills to engage new clients as well as repeat projects with existing clients
• Foster top performance and growth for your employees via excellent mentorship and leadership
• Lead your team to deliver impeccable quality and client value
• Actively participate in the tender/bid process—from initial tender/bid documentation through analysis and reporting
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments
• Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicate variations to your team
• Support nimble project management and clear decisions through excellent cost documentation and timely communication.

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Are an experienced cost manager on large scale construction projects with increasing levels of leadership
• Must be MRICs qualified
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline
• Have experience in pre- and post-contract cost management on varied projects
• Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing
• Are chartered or are on the path to complete it. We can help
