An established industry player is seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel to join their UK Studios team. Amazon Studios has an opening for an Associate Corporate Counsel to support scripted and unscripted projects to be produced in the United Kingdom. Over the past 6 years, we have debuted award-winning and ground-breaking programming like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Jack Ryan, The Boys, Carnival Row, The Rig, Clarkson's Farm, Road to a Million, and Devil's Hour.
As Associate Corporate Counsel for the UK Studios team, you will handle all legal aspects of development, production, and marketing of original TV content to support Amazon's expanding scripted and unscripted television initiatives in Europe. This includes developing forms and policies, structuring, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of agreements such as rights option and acquisition agreements, writer agreements, producer agreements, production services agreements, co-financing agreements, above-the-line talent agreements, documentary and reality participant and access agreements, below-the-line crew agreements, and other production-related agreements. You will be responsible for legal matters during development, production, and marketing, including rights evaluation, chain of title confirmation, clearance matters, guild issues, standards and practices review, and publicity issues. Additionally, you will analyze and interpret contracts, providing legal advice on potential risks across various international legal areas, including intellectual property, digital media, entertainment, labor, publicity rights, and regulatory compliance. Some domestic and international travel will be required.
