Amazon Studios has an opening for an Associate Corporate Counsel to support scripted and unscripted projects to be produced in the United Kingdom. Over the past 6 years, we have debuted award-winning and ground-breaking programming like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Jack Ryan, The Boys, Carnival Row, The Rig, Clarkson's Farm, Road to a Million, and Devil's Hour.
As Associate Corporate Counsel for the UK Studios team, you will handle all legal aspects of development, production, and marketing of original TV content in support of Amazon's rapidly expanding scripted and unscripted television initiatives in Europe. This includes developing forms and policies, structuring, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of agreements such as rights option and acquisition agreements, writer agreements, producer agreements, production services agreements, co-financing agreements, above-the-line talent agreements, documentary and reality participant and access agreements, below-the-line crew agreements, and other production-related agreements. You will be responsible for all legal matters during development, production, and marketing, including evaluating rights issues, confirming chain of title, handling clearance matters, guild issues, standards and practices review, and promotion and publicity issues. Additionally, you will analyze and interpret contracts and provide legal advice on potential risks across various legal areas, including intellectual property, digital media, entertainment, labor, rights of publicity, and regulatory compliance. Some domestic and international travel will be required.
