ABOUT GLOBAL NATION:

Global Nation is a think-do tank focused on improving international cooperation to tackle humanity’s greatest challenges: human development, climate change and conflict. Global Nation advises many of the world’s leading institutions, including the Gates Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, Wellcome Trust, WHO, WMO, UNDRR, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), and national governments. We also receive grant funding to pursue thought-leadership and movement-building for a fairer international system. This includes our work to build the Global Public Investment (GPI) movement and the Global Solidarity Report, a scorecard that is, for the first time, measuring the international community’s ability to tackle and withstand our generational challenges, whether climate change, pandemics, or major-power conflict. Our team of 15 people is located in London, Washington D.C., Madrid, Nepal and in multiple locations in the Middle East.

1.WHO Pandemic Preparedness: Support WHO to develop concrete initiatives to better advocate for, catalyse technical improvements in, and strengthen countries ability to carry out collaborative disease surveillance

2.Rockefeller Climate & Health: Support the Rockefeller Foundation and UN agencies to develop more coordinated international action to reduce climate- induced risks to human health, by developing strategies and guidance documents and coordinating between international organizations and countries.

3.Gates Foundation Middle East: Supporting the Gates Foundation’s Middle East

team on their strategic engagements and initiatives in the region

The remaining time will be to be dedicated to developing business proposals, supporting other advisory projects, or supporting business operations work to further build our growing business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with senior consultants and client teams to develop and implement strategic solutions.

  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients.
  • Provide support in the implementation of strategic initiatives and monitor progress to ensure successful execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis, research, and competitive benchmarking to identify key insights and opportunities.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance consulting methodologies.

  • Time Zone: Based in GMT or GMT+1 time zone
  • Structured problem solving: Capability to deconstruct complex challenges and develop clear frameworks to address them
  • Strategic communication: Ability to clearly and concisely articulate project goals, strategies, and anticipated impacts to diverse stakeholders, including major funders.
