Job summary

Homerun B.V. in London is seeking an Associate Community Manager to support our Publishing team with community management, social media and short‑form content for an upcoming ustwo games project.

You will collaborate closely with the Community Manager and other teams, moving between Discord moderation, social engagement, video editing and newsletters, while contributing to announcements and campaigns.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in community management, social media or digital content.
  • Experience managing an online community, professionally or voluntarily.
  • Confidence using Discord and social media platforms.
  • Experience creating and editing short‑form video content.
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
  • Strong written communication and adaptable tone.
  • Able to build positive relationships with audiences.
  • Organised, dependable with multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Community management: support day‑to‑day management of the project’s community and social channels.
  • Help moderate spaces such as Discord, Steam forums and other owned channels.
  • Build positive relationships with community members and foster participation.
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive and values‑led environment.
  • Monitor audience sentiment and emerging conversations.
  • Support activity around announcements, showcases, playtests, demos and launch.
  • Identify active members and early advocates.
  • Social and content creation: plan and publish regular social content.
  • Create and edit short‑form video for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
  • Write copy for posts, updates, blogs and newsletters.
  • Capture content with developers; coordinate with studio for assets.
  • Maintain organized content files and publishing workflows.
  • Project and campaign support: keep a clear content calendar and support reveals and events.
  • Coordinate influencer activity and outreach; track basic analytics.

We’re looking for an Associate Community Manager to join our growing Publishing team.

This is a broad, hands‑on role combining community management, social media and short‑form content creation, supporting an upcoming ustwo games project, helping to build its community presence and deliver engaging content across social and community channels.

The role ambition

You’ll work closely with our Community Manager and colleagues across publishing, and game development.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys being close to an audience and is comfortable moving between different kinds of work. You might spend one day managing Discord conversations and responding to social comments, and the next editing short‑form videos, writing a newsletter or preparing content around an announcement.

Reporting into the Commercial Director, you will be working with the communities of current ustwo games projects, as well as new exciting announcements and go to market campaigns.

About you

Around one to three years of relevant experience in community management, social media or digital content

Experience managing a real online community, whether professionally, independently or on a voluntary basis

Confidence managing platforms such as Discord and social media channels

Experience creating and editing short‑form video content

A good understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and platform‑native content

Strong written communication skills and the ability to adapt your tone for different audiences

Able to build positive relationships with audiences

Organised and dependable, with the ability to manage several deadlines at once

Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a small, collaborative team

Genuine enthusiasm for games and the people who gather around them

Nice to have

Experience supporting an indie game announcement or launch

Experience writing blogs, newsletters or longer‑form community updates

Experience coordinating with influencers, streamers or content creators

Familiarity with tools such as CapCut or similar video‑editing software

Understanding of social and community performance metrics

Experience supporting playtests, betas or Steam events

Experience working with game developers, publishers, artists or marketing teams

What you'll be doing

Community management

Support the day‑to‑day management of the project’s community and social channels

Help establish and moderate spaces such as Discord, Steam forums and other owned community channels

Build positive relationships with community members and encourage meaningful participation

Help create a welcoming, inclusive and values‑led environment

Monitor audience sentiment, recurring questions and emerging conversations

Support community activity around announcements, showcases, playtests, demos and launch

Help identify and nurture active community members and early advocates

Social and content creation

Plan and publish regular social content in line with the wider content calendar

Create and edit short‑form video for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts

Write clear and engaging copy for social posts, community updates, blogs and newsletters

Help capture content with developers and other members of the studio

Work with art and marketing colleagues when bespoke visual assets are needed

Maintain organised content files, footage and publishing workflows

Project and campaign support

Work with the Community Manager to maintain a clear and sustainable content calendar

Support community‑facing reveals, events, partnerships and showcases

Assist with the execution of influencer and creator activity

Help coordinate outreach, materials and follow‑up with creators where needed

Track basic channel and content performance, using platform analytics tools or other data to Identify what is resonating and use those insights to inform future content

Support wider publishing and marketing activity when priorities shift

This role is a 12 month fixed‑term contract, salaried as a preference, but we are also open to day‑rate contractors.

We’re looking for a hybrid work setup for this one, with people willing to spend at least one day in the studio per week, as it’s a crucial aspect of creating content and building our community.
