Job summary

Browne Jacobson LLP is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join the Clinical Negligence team in Cardiff. The role focuses on defending NHS Resolution and other defendant clients in clinical negligence claims, requiring strong advocacy and technical legal skills.

The successful candidate will handle complex matters, draft precise legal documents, and collaborate with clients and colleagues to deliver high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Solicitor specialising in clinical negligence claims.
• Defendant/claimant or catastrophic personal injury experience is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear, concise legal documents.
• Experience in inquest or healthcare advisory work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive secondment support to key clients - remotely and on site.

We're looking for a talented Associate or Senior Associate to join our Clinical Negligence team. The role You'll be a solicitor specialising in clinical negligence claims, acting on behalf of a range of defendant clients, with a particular focus on representing NHS Resolution.

What you'll be doing

• Delivering comprehensive, high-quality legal services across complex matters.
• Providing exceptional client service, including proactive, strategic and commercial management of claims.
• Providing responsive secondment support to key clients - remotely and on site. Clinical negligence experience - defendant/claimant or catastrophic personal injury experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear, concise and accurate legal documents and advice, and to communicate complex matters in a straightforward manner to clients and colleagues.
• Experience in inquest or healthcare advisory work an advantage.
