What Is the Opportunity?
Working as part of the Claim Operations team, you will assist the Claims function by providing a high level of transactional and partial claim handling support. You will ensure that all operational activities are delivered in a manner consistent with our internal and external service standards and best practices.
What Will You Do?
- Carry out administrative tasks, partial claim handling functions, including invoice approval, minor claim adjudication (dispute resolution), and other activities which do not require certification, vendor activity coordination.
- Assist with MI and Analytics, financial control, assessment, monitoring, and validation, in accordance with team best practices.
- Provide functional resiliency by supporting our Claim teams based in multiple locations across Claim Europe.
- Achieve or surpass service expectations of internal and external customers as agreed by the business.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, business partners, customers, agents, and others to achieve organizational goals and create better outcomes.
- Openly communicate knowledge of actions with managers and colleagues to consider and understand the impact on other disciplines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Act ethically at all times, understanding all compliance and regulatory requirements by completing necessary training and certifications.
- Ensure fair treatment of customers, keep adequate records of all transactions with customers, brokers, and other parties.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
- Relevant work experience in a general insurance claims department or similar support role preferred.
- Knowledge of I90, Openbox, and Lloyds claims systems preferred.
- Experience with data entry processes preferred.
- Basic customer relationship skills.
- Intermediate communication skills, both written and oral.
- Willingness to meet regulatory requirements, such as the Minimum Competency Requirements of the Insurance Institute of Ireland (Ireland) or CII studies (UK).
What is a Must Have?
- Minimum GCSE level or equivalent education or relevant experience in claims support.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
