Associate Civil Engineer

£60k - £65k + Car Allowance + Benefits

Manchester City Centre

Our client is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy firm that offers a wide range of engineering, planning, and environmental services. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Civil Engineer to join their Manchester office.

The company is a well-known nationwide consultancy, and you would be joining a Civils team of 11 to sit between the Civils Director and the rest of the team.

Responsibilities:

1. Leading the design and delivery of civil engineering projects across a range of sectors, including infrastructure, commercial, residential, and education.
2. Managing the delivery of projects from inception through to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, to budget, and to the highest quality standards.
3. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other project team members.
4. Mentoring and developing junior members of the team, providing technical guidance and support as required.
5. Contributing to business development activities, including identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and attending client meetings.

Requirements:

1. A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
2. Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body (e.g. ICE).
3. A minimum of 8 years' experience in civil engineering design and project delivery.
4. Experience in leading and managing projects from inception through to completion.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
6. Strong technical skills in civil engineering design and analysis software.
7. Proven track record in business development, including identifying opportunities and preparing proposals.
