Job Description: We are seeking a talented Associate Bid Director to join our Major Pursuits Bid Team in Birmingham. This role involves leading strategic and complex bids, working closely with senior leaders, technical teams, and clients to develop winning strategies and ensure successful bid outcomes. The position reports to the Head of the Major Pursuits Team Europe.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the creation and execution of bid win strategies, facilitating workshops and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
2. Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to gather intelligence and understand project scope and client needs.
3. Manage the bid process from kick-off through submission, interview preparation, and debrief, ensuring risks are escalated and mitigated.
4. Coordinate technical, commercial, and marketing resources to develop compelling proposals.
5. Lead bid workshops on strategy, delivery, pricing, and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
6. Oversee bid budgets and communicate progress and risks effectively.
7. Support the development of the Major Pursuits Team Europe into an industry-leading group.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in managing major pursuits in Europe, particularly in infrastructure, energy, or related sectors.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of winning large bids (~$100m).
• Experience in managing both technical and commercial bid workstreams.
• Excellent strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a multi-market, multi-discipline environment.
