We work with some of the world's leading organisations, helping make their digital experiences faster & secure. We focus on building long-term partnerships by understanding our customers' technical, operational, & commercial goals, and aligning Akamai's products & services to meet those needs.

Help Akamai expand our market reach.

You will be responsible for selling Akamai solutions to new customers across the UK. Working with marketing on demand generation and collaborating closely with your Solutions Engineer, you'll drive customer acquisition. You will be supported by cross-functional teams, including product specialists, partner managers, and marketing, all aiming to accelerate new customer growth in the UK&I.

As a Major Account Executive, your responsibilities include:

  1. Account planning and execution against your Target Account List.
  2. Implementing a 'right solution, right time' hunting strategy to meet customer needs.
  3. Collaborating with Sales Specialists, Marketing, and Channel Teams on your strategy.
  4. Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and forecasting monthly and quarterly results.
  5. Adopting 'hunting' sales tools and best practices.
  6. Working with cross-functional teams to ensure customers realize the value of their Akamai services during onboarding.

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Have experience selling enterprise-class technology software, SaaS, or internet-based solutions to large organizations.
  • Demonstrate account management skills with both short-term and long-term planning, selling value at the C-Level.
  • Possess a good understanding of technology, the Internet, and cybersecurity.
  • Have experience building executive relationships in a collaborative, results-oriented environment.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
