Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Associate Director to join the MEP Real Estate team, supporting growth across a diverse portfolio of real estate projects. You will lead cost consultancy, drive value engineering and oversee service delivery to ensure high-quality client outcomes.

The role requires professional RICS qualification (or progress towards) and a strong track record across project lifecycles, with ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in RICS or working towards one.
• Degree or HNC level qualification in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost consultancy activities including feasibility estimating and cost planning.
• Manage tender documentation, evaluation and post-contract discipline.
• Provide technical guidance and support within the team.
• Ensure high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction.

Job Description

Turner & Townsend alinea is seeking an Associate Director to join the MEP Real Estate team, supporting the continued growth of the Real Estate sector. The role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of real estate projects and masterplans while contributing to the development and success of clients and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate cost consultancy activities including feasibility estimating, cost planning, contract procurement, tender documentation, tender evaluation, value engineering, commercial management, fee generation, dispute resolution and post-contract management.
• Promote a safe and secure working environment while supporting the organisation's values and culture.
• Foster team engagement, collaboration and high performance.
• Drive performance standards through effective communication, coaching and performance management practices.
• Contribute to a range of projects requiring technical evaluation, analysis and problem solving.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members on project and technical matters.
• Clearly communicate project scope, roles and responsibilities to support successful project delivery.
• Oversee and manage service delivery to achieve high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A proven track record of delivering high quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle
• Professionally qualified (RICS or similar) or working towards
• Degree or HNC level qualification
• Ability to successfully manage and prioritise more than one project at a time.
• Experience in delivering MEP elements of work for clients
• Knowledge & contacts within the MEP supply chain (tier 1 and below)
• Commercially astute with good negotiation skills
