Bristol NHS Foundation Trust's AAC WEST team is recruiting an Associate Assistant Practitioner to support in preparing communication aids prescribed for active patients. This development post sits within the Bristol Enablement Service (BCE) and is fully supported by experienced AAC assistants and registered clinicians.

It is a non-patient facing role. This role requires a confident computer user who can manage their own workload, with duties including programming communication aids, equipment

Competenze

• Experience with specialist software to prepare vocabularies and communication aids.
• Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.
• Good telephone communication and teamwork within clinical settings.

Mansioni

• Communication Aid Programming: prepare high and low tech resources using specialist software.
• Equipment Preparation: prep equipment for assessments and training sessions.
• Telephone support to patients and support networks regarding loaned devices.
• Assist in delivery of training sessions for staff and patients.
