Job summary

N-able Technologies Ltd. is seeking an Applications Engineer in Dundee or Edinburgh to provide technical support and foster relationships with partners. Qualifications

  • Proficient in Windows OS, file structure, registry, and event logs.
  • Good knowledge in scripting, automation, networking, and virtualization.
  • Prior experience supporting Remote Monitoring and/or PSA solutions is a plus.

We are looking for an ApplicationsEngineer to join our growing team in Dundee or Edinburgh. You bring a technical background coupled with a curious and inquisitive mindset. You are a creative problem solver, an avid learner, and a strong communicator. You will work with various teams within the Partner Success Department to ensure that our partners can effectively use our product solutions to unearth more value for their MSP business.


What You'll Do

  • Use strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and soft skills combined to provide an excellent and effortless support experience to internal teams and N-able partners.
  • Proactively reach out to partners to understand their business, technology stack, and product usage, fostering strong relationships and ensuring engagement.
  • Be responsible for providing technical advice and guidance to assigned partners, ensuring they are realizing the value of their investment in N-able products.
  • Provide advanced onboarding assistance for partners with large or technically complex implementations and migrations.
  • Help identify and communicate opportunities to further leverage the N-able platform.Analyse complex partner needs and technical issues to determine solutions.
  • Recommend and demonstrate ways in which partners can leverage additional N-able products to improve their overall business success
  • Act as a partner success advocate in technical discussions with Product Management and Development teams and serve as a technical leader within the team, providing guidance and upskill support to others
  • Create custom solutions that will help partners reach their unique business and technical goals such as custom monitoring, automation, and reporting solutions
  • Utilize knowledge of MSP and competitor products to aid customers in the migration to our platforms and accurately document partner interactions and project progress through designated tools

What You'll Bring

  • A proactive and curious mindset, with the ability to engage partners, ask insightful questions, and explore their unique business and technical needs
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems, file structure, registry, and event logs
  • Good knowledge in scripting, automation, networking and virtualisation
  • Prior experience supporting a Remote Monitoring and/or PSA solutions a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively speak to complex topics and consult with partners on their individual needs
  • Strong self-management skills and outstanding customer service skills
  • Proven experience with VMware, ESXi and Google Workspace will be a distinct advantage in this role.
  • A technical degree would be a bonus
