Job Description

Grade UE06: £34,132 to £39,355 per annum

Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences / Edinburgh Medical School

Full-time: 35 hours per week

Fixed term until 31 January 2026

The Opportunity

Join our forward-thinking team at the Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences as a Software Developer. Contribute to the development of the CAMARADES-NC3Rs Preclinical Systematic Review & Meta-analysis Facility (SyRF; https://syrf.org.uk/), a fully integrated online platform for systematic reviews of preclinical studies, supporting the CAMARADES research group.

This position is fixed term until 31 January 2026, with potential for extension.

Your Skills And Attributes For Success
  • Proficiency in Front-End Development: Experience with Angular, capable of designing and implementing complex user interfaces from concept to execution.
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile practices, preferably Scrum, with proactive task prioritization.
  • Back-End Development Skills: Knowledge of C#, MongoDB, and API maintenance.
  • Problem Solving and Innovation: Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical team members to develop functional software solutions.
  • Communication and Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to gather requirements, provide technical support, and foster collaboration.
