Job summary

Proofpoint in Belfast is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to help build features and services on the Satori platform, accelerating autonomous security operations for Fortune 100 customers. You’ll work with product engineers to ship mission‑critical agentic software.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding in Python and TypeScript/Node, cloud-native microservices, and exposure to LangGraph, OpenAI/Anthropic SDKs, and AWS.

Qualifications

BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with designing, developing, and supporting applications in a microservices cloud environment, or entry into the role with a Master's degree.
Personal interest in AI agents — you tinker with agent frameworks or LLM SDKs and keep up with the field.

Responsibilities

Implement components of the agent runtimes and SDKs used by product teams.
Help uphold release-readiness: eval suites, safety checks, telemetry, and AuthX.
Ship code and operate production-grade services across the platform.
