Job description

STRAT7 is a data, analytics, and strategy consultancy that helps clients solve complex business challenges. We combine cutting-edge technology with deep industry expertise to deliver actionable insights that drive growth and transformation. As a group, we bring together experts in data science, AI, consumer insight, commercial strategy, and research methods to provide clients with a complete solution to their business challenges. We embrace agile methodologies across our organization, allowing us to respond quickly to changing market conditions and client needs while delivering high-quality solutions efficiently.

POSITION OVERVIEW

You'd be joining Incite's Atlantic Practice, working with major US and global businesses. This isn't a role where you simply keep projects on track. It is genuinely consultative and needs a true problem solver. You'll shape the thinking, advise clients directly, and influence the strategic direction of the work.

One of our biggest clients is MetLife – a major US-based financial services company that offer group benefits, insurance, retirement products and other financial services. Every year, MetLife asks a big question: what do working people need to do their best work, and what are employers getting wrong? The answer becomes the Employee Benefit Trends Study (EBTS), one of the most widely cited pieces of thought leadership in the benefits world.

The EBTS programme sits at the centre of the role. It's research of the best kind: big questions about how the workplace is changing, genuine involvement in shaping the themes before any fieldwork begins, and findings that get published and quoted rather than filed away. It is about much more than insurance; it is about understanding how human needs are evolving, what businesses need to succeed, and where the world of work is going next.

Beyond MetLife, you'll work across other clients as well, spending approximately 70% of your time on MetLife projects and the other 30% on other clients – with many opportunities to solve interesting strategic challenges and make meaningful impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Shape Research Questions - co-lead brainstorming sessions to define annual research themes. Design research approach, from questionnaires and discussion guides to innovative methods, ensuring the right question gets asked in the right way
  • Turn data into Insight - work across quantitative and qualitative evidence to uncover the "so what" in the data. Conduct complex analysis, ensure data reliability, and synthesise large datasets into insights worth publishing. Collaborate with analytics specialists when deeper expertise is needed
  • Craft Compelling Narratives - moving beyond data presentation to narrative impact, ensuring findings are matched by strong storytelling
  • Build Trusted Client Relationships - manage day-to-day relationships with senior stakeholders, positioning as a solutions-focused trusted advisor. See projects through from kickoff to completion, prepare and run client sessions, and begin developing the longer-term partnership relationships
  • Contribute to Business Development & Capability - support Principals with content creation for pitches and proposal preparation, help shape how STRAT7 Incite present capabilities and win new work
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
  • Solid track record in ad-hoc research or consultancy experience, ideally acquired through an agency
  • Genuine fluency in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies: comfortable designing questionnaires and discussion guides, and clear-eyed about which approach a problem actually needs
  • Able to run core project elements independently and manage timelines
  • Excels into uncover insights and clearly communicate their strategic implications
  • Demonstrates client relationship management, delivering commercially framed research findings that strengthen trust advisory-led relationships
  • Possess a problem‑solving mindset, with the confidence to independently resolve day‑to‑day issues while recognising when to seek support
  • Has a collaborative approach that supports teamwork and best practice
  • Strong analytical skills, with hands‑on experience of SPSS and multivariate techniques
BENEFITS

The role comes with a competitive salary and clear paths to promotion and to new opportunities. Benefits include:

  • 25 days holiday plus UK bank holidays (Christmas closure – 3 days additional to entitlement – discretionary and non-contractual leave)
