Employment Solicitor / Associate - Cardiff

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Solicitor / Associate based in our Cardiff Office, working within the Employment and Immigration Team alongside two of our Employment Partners. The role offers an interesting and varied caseload, including employment tribunal litigation, advising commercial clients, and handling employment aspects of corporate transactions.

Responsibilities:
  • Advise on a range of employment issues across various sectors.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge on employment law issues, collaborating with colleagues across the team.
  • Identify and develop business referral opportunities and participate in business development activities.
  • Primarily represent employers and respondents, with the ability to act for senior employees/executives or member organizations if needed.
  • Manage a varied caseload, including corporate support, drafting contracts, settlement agreements, restrictive covenants, reorganizations, and TUPE.
  • Handle all types of employment tribunal work, including advocacy, for claimants and respondents.
  • Familiarity with CPR and employment-related civil litigation is desirable.
  • Provide HR support to business and third-sector clients.

You will need:

  • Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Ideally 3-5 years PQE.
  • Proven ability to develop business.
  • A team player who can support and guide colleagues.
  • Client-focused with the ability to handle demanding stakeholders.
  • Experience with respondent, commercial, or public sector work is preferred; candidates with significant experience acting for representative organizations will also be considered.
