About The Service

Cardiff Youth Service is seeking to recruit Assistant Youth Support Workers to develop and support our Inclusive provisions within the Digital Youth Work team.

We are committed to developing an evidential basis for Youth Work to thrive in Cardiff communities. Demonstrating impact and showcasing young people's positive journeys is essential. Embracing technology and understanding the safe spaces inhabited by young people are key aspects of our work.

Cardiff Youth Service is a progressive organization aiming to set standards in Youth Work practice and co-produce programs with young people. Cardiff Youth Service is establishing locality teams to support Youth Work and broader Youth Support Services through partnership and collaboration. This role offers the chance to work at the heart of our community-focused approach.

The post involves working evenings and weekends, supporting flexible Youth Work programs in inclusive settings.

What We Are Looking For From You

Applicants must meet current qualification and registration requirements outlined by the Education Workforce Council.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with young people and motivate participation.

You should have experience working collaboratively and independently, supporting co-produced initiatives, and adapting to young people's diverse needs.

An understanding of inclusive and digital methods of working with young people is essential.

Additional information

Grade: T00 6 (£23,825 per annum)

This position is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced checks.

It is part-time, working 3 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with salary pro-rata accordingly.
